Removing shoe polish from a carpet

If you have a carpet, then you will know that one of the worst things that can happen is that things get spilled on them that cannot be cleaned up. One of the many things that can become a problem is shoe polish, and this is something that the majority of people cannot avoid using in their day to day lives. However, thanks to the latest diy carpet cleaning methods, you should find that you are able to get it off your carpet.
The first thing that you need to do is to get rid of as much of it as you possibly can. You could use a spoon to do this, and simply scoop any excess polish from the floor. Sometimes, if it has not yet had the time to sink in, this might be all that you need.
After you have done this, you should put a little bit of water mixed with baking powder onto a towel and dab it onto where the stain is. Leave it for a while, and then use water to clean it up. A lot of the time, this will be enough to do the job, however if this is not the case then you might find that you need to use another homemade carpet solution method.
If you have any detergent in your home, then this is the perfect thing to use. However, you should not use it straight out of the bottle, as there is a chance that doing this would damage your carpet. Instead, you need to water it down slightly, and use the weaker product with the stain. When you have made this diy carpet cleaning solution then you can dab some on the stain and leave it to work. This should improve it.
If the situation is still not resolved, then you might find that you have to repeat a small part of the process again. Shoe polish can be one of the hardest things to get off, so you shouldn’t worry if you don’t manage to do so the first time that you try it. Instead, you should keep going and eventually you will see that the stain will be removed and your carpet will look as good as new; all thanks to the things that you have learned about diy carpet cleaning and how you can make your own solutions to use on a day to day basis.
